She ate exactly four crackers. Counted them. Then put the box back.
Then opened it again.
The whole box disappeared in seventeen minutes. She knows because she checked her phone after. Not because she was timing herself. Because checking her phone was the only thing that briefly interrupted the motion of her hand reaching into the box.
Afterward, she sat on the floor. Checked the calories. Did the math. Decided what she'd skip tomorrow. Not as punishment, exactly. Just... balance. Except it never balanced. Tomorrow she'd be hungry and ashamed and probably repeat the whole thing.
This wasn't about crackers.
